10/1/2013-The Santa Fe Fuego will use Old Hickory Bat Company for the 2014 Season. Before switching to Old Hickory midway through the 2013 season the Fuego experienced problems with a high number of broken maple bats. The Fuego play in Fort Marcy Park which is the highest elevation of any Professional Baseball Park in the World.

Old Hickory was great with delivery times and gave the players great wood to use.

Santa Fe Fuego Manager Bill Moore: "Last year all of all players loved the Old Hickory Bats that they got, so that is who we are staying with. I told the league office we need to use Old Hickory when you turn on the TV ever up and coming big leaguer is using them."
